Our September estates auction, Saturday, the 16th and Sunday, the 17th, starting at 11 AM, features several Ansel Adams silver gelatin prints, owned by Dennis Curtin, who worked for book publisher Little and Brown of Boston, producing several projects with Adams. Curtin’s photographs in this auction were gifts given to him by Ansel Adams. Also on sale is a spectacular circa 1930s diamond, emerald, and onyx platinum bracelet, a Qi Baishi book of drawings, and an extensive selection of European furniture from a Southern Connecticut collection. There are also several pieces of 19th-century English Regency furniture from a Boston, Massachusetts collection, over 100 pieces of Chinese porcelain, and a group of ethnic artifacts from a world traveler.
